Easter

Okay, so it's a few days late, but I would say better late than never!!!!!!

The weather on Easter was calm and cheery. I wouldn't exactly say warm, but warmer than it had been.  We were able to do our Egg hunt outside with no jackets, Mackenzie was able to wear her dress with to leotards.  The kids had a wonderful day.  We dyed eggs the night before, the boys had a wonderful time doing them with their sister this year.  I couldn't count the amount of laughs they had if I tried.
We had a very nice Ham dinner on Easter Day, it's one of the kids' favorite.
In all it was a nice day for everyone.
Here are some pictures of the events. Enjoy!!!!!
And the dying begins.....

and continues....

and they are just finishing up. What a cute bunch!!!!

Well someone found her basket.

and evan found his.....

and Nicholas found his.

look what daddy got for his Princess!!!!! she walked around saying... "Mine, mine, mine"

Here we are on Easter.......what a group.

Don't I look pretty.

But I would rather have pants on like my brothers!!!

And Mommy Thinks I'm gonna wear this hat! Ha she's got another thing comin!!!!

I don't get why we gotta find the eggs that daddy put out.... he should have to go pick them up. Duh.

When Daddy hides eggs no place is off limits including tree branches.

Never too old for an egg hunt.

Evan just looks so handsome in this shot, he is growing up so fast!!!!

Don't think he's showing Nicholas the egg, he's telling him not to touch it, it's for Mackenzie to find.

and of course Shelly was enjoying the outdoors as well with the kids.

all done, just taking onemore look around.

well, we managed to keep the dress on allday yaayyy made Mommy happy!

Nicholas "trying" to wait up for the Easter Bunny. (yep to all that know him so well, that's a webkin under his arm LOL)

Nicholas hunting... ( I don't know how it got out of sequence. oops.)

The Wonderful Outdoors (Mostly)

I just chose mostly pics from last weekend when it was a whopping 51 degrees and we took advantage of the "warm" weather and went to our local little Ecology site that has a rehab zoo attached to it. The first couple of pics though are obviously not outside they were just cute.

Busy Busy gotta help my Big Brother, the faster he's done, the faster he gets to play with me.

Look at those muscles woohoo!!!!!

Mmmm I love my corn!!!!

Nicholas in front of the goat pen at Holtsville Ecology Site Zoo.

1 of 2 of the black bears at the zoo, he was right up against the fence, nice and close.

Mackenzie was mesmerized by all the animals... this one was a horse in there.

Fascinating Ducks.

What a good Big brother.

and..... of course a Webkin had to join us....

All 3 really liked the ducks.. (go figure)

Hey is your Mama.... a........ Llama?????

The 3 McBride Men doing what they do best....... Eating......

Oh and the McBride Ladies had to go and get their own..... Thank you Mr. Softee!!!!!!

Back from their very long bike ride..... only 1 scraped knee, not bad. (it took them 45 minutes to get back)

Evan setting off his Mentos rocket. That is cool how it does that. Everyone should try it at least once.

Catch Up Time

Okay, sorry for the big time lapse.
Here is our update......
Evan.....
Is really enjoying what he is learning in Science class..... all about Germs
and Social Studies..... Ancient Rome... specifically Augustus..... a spark has really been lit in these two areas.
He also got his Progress Report and I am proud to say he has improved in every subject.
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day and went to our Home town parade. It was very nice.  There were some things in our parade that I bet lots of people wouldn't think of when thinking of a New York Parade.... such as a Tractor Procession..... Evan loved it but was disappointed that they didn't shoot the flames from their mufflers.... Oh well.......

Nicholas....
Nicholas is still filling buckets at school by complimenting and being a good helper, he got yet another certificate for filling his bucket and getting a reward.  He is reading so much better and more now, there isn't much he can't read.  He also had a good time at the Parade however he did declare that he does NOT like the tractors..... a little too noisy for his taste......he's also not thrilled wasn't thrilled with how cold it was..... 42 degrees. (That explains them being bundled up in the picture below.)

Mackenzie....
Mackenzie has learned how to jump, she doesn't get far off the ground but she's got the idea.  She is working on getting her eye teeth through, this has come as quite a challenge..... darn those strong gums. She has learned the word "NO" we are so thrilled about that (LOL). and she's not afraid to use it.  Everyday she shows her affection for her Big Brothers more and more, it just melts my heart.  No matter what they are doing, she wants to be involved, whether it's something she can do or not.  She has now gotten her 3rd pair of shoes, she just keeps growing and growing.

Well, that's about it for the kid us grown ups are the same as always.
